The Great Life Unf*ck: 7 Days to Make Life Less Ridiculous

RESET & the Art of Unf*cking Life

The Joy Bringers

This is not a seven‑day transformation. You will not emerge on Day 8 speaking fluent Italian, debt‑free, glowing from within and maintaining an immaculate pantry. We're aiming lower. We're going to make your life slightly less annoying.

DAY 1 — DELETE SOMETHING

Cancel, unsubscribe, decline or abandon one thing you don't need. A newsletter. An obligation. A subscription. A plan you agreed to because saying no felt awkward. Today's revolutionary concept: not everything deserves continued existence.

DAY 2 — FIX ONE TINY ANNOYANCE

You know the thing that irritates you every single day but you've somehow accepted as part of the human condition? The broken hook. The password issue. The drawer that jams. Fix one.

DAY 3 — MAKE SOMETHING STUPIDLY EASY

Choose something you repeatedly struggle to maintain and remove steps. Put the vitamins beside the toothbrush. Buy the pre‑chopped vegetables. Move the charger where you actually sit. Easy is not cheating.

DAY 4 — SAY NO WITHOUT WRITING AN ESSAY

Decline one thing you don't want to do. You are allowed to say, “I can't make it, but thank you for asking.” You do not need to submit supporting documentation.

DAY 5 — FINISH A FIVE‑MINUTE THING

Pick one tiny task you've been avoiding for an absurd amount of time. Set a five‑minute timer. Do it. Enjoy the disproportionate smugness.

DAY 6 — LOWER A STANDARD

Find one area where “good enough” would genuinely be good enough. Dinner can be simple. The house can be untidy. The email can be three sentences. Nobody is awarding medals.

DAY 7 — REMOVE ONE RECURRING PAIN IN THE ARSE

Look for something that annoys you every week or month. Automate it. Cancel it. Delegate it. Change it. The best Reset changes aren't heroic. They're the ones that quietly stop irritating you forever.

THE FINAL QUESTION

At the end of the week ask: “What am I doing purely because I've never stopped to question it?”

Write down the first three answers. Congratulations. You have not transformed your entire life. You've done something much more useful: you've started editing it.

RIGHT THEN. THE IMPORTANT QUESTION.

Are you really going to do this challenge?

No judgement. Well, maybe a tiny bit.
