The details of each retreat, including dates, accommodation, activities, meals, transfers, excursions, price, inclusions and exclusions, will be provided on the relevant booking page.
For all retreats; Visas, travel insurance, personal expenditure, alcohol and optional purchases or activities are not included. Also excluded is any transport to or from the agreed meeting point (eg Flights, hire car, ferry, bus or train tickets, etc). Any transportation outside of that agreed by us during the booking process will also be excluded.
A retreat place is not fully confirmed until we have accepted your booking and sent you written confirmation.
We reserve the right to decline a booking where reasonably necessary for legal, safety, suitability or operational reasons.
Where we decline a booking before confirmation, payments made to us for that booking will be refunded unless we are legally entitled to retain them.
5. Retreat Booking, Deposit & Payments
All retreat prices are displayed in EUR (€).
To request a place on a retreat, you must submit a booking request through our website.
Once we have received and accepted your booking request, we will send you an email containing the bank details required to pay your deposit. Your place will be provisionally reserved for 3 days from the date of this email.
A €500 deposit must be received by us within this 3-day period to secure your booking. If we do not receive the deposit within this period, your provisional reservation will automatically expire and the place may be offered to another guest.
The €500 deposit is non-refundable except where we have explicitly advised otherwise on the retreat information page, where required by applicable law, where we are unable to accept your booking, or where we cancel your retreat and you are entitled to a refund.
Your booking will be confirmed once we have received the deposit and sent you written confirmation.
Payment Terms
Payment schedules may vary between different retreats. The payment terms applicable to your booking will be clearly provided before you commit to the booking and will form part of your booking agreement.
For Reset, Restore and Rediscover retreats, unless otherwise stated:
- a €500 deposit is required to secure your booking;
- the remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 60 days before the retreat start date; and
- payment plans may be available on request.
If you book a retreat less than 60 days before its start date, the full retreat price will be payable when your booking is confirmed, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Where a payment plan has been agreed, the payment dates confirmed by us will apply.
If a payment is not received by the agreed due date, we will contact you and provide a reasonable opportunity to make the outstanding payment. If payment remains outstanding, we may cancel your booking and release your place, subject to applicable law and the cancellation terms below.
For Relive retreats, deposit and payment terms vary depending on the retreat type. Full details are provided on the relevant retreat page and booking page.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance as soon as your booking is confirmed.
Any mandatory cancellation or refund rights available to you under applicable consumer or package-travel law remain unaffected.

7. Changes or Cancellation by The Joy Bringers
Occasionally circumstances may require us to change, postpone, or cancel, a retreat.
We may make reasonable changes to activities, excursions, schedules, transport arrangements, meals, facilitators, suppliers or other elements where necessary due to circumstances such as weather, availability, season, safety, supplier changes or other operational considerations.
Where possible, we will provide a suitable alternative of a reasonably comparable nature or value.
If we need to make a significant change to an essential part of your retreat before it begins, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and provide the options required under applicable law.
If The Joy Bringers cancels a retreat before it begins, we may offer you, as appropriate:
- a refund of payments made to us, including the reservation fee and deposit
- transfer to another available Joy Bringers retreat date

Where applicable law gives you the right to a refund, choosing a change of date or credit will be optional.
Refunds will be processed without undue delay and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
8. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
Events may occasionally occur that are outside our reasonable control.
These may include severe weather, wildfire, natural disaster, epidemic or public-health emergency, government restrictions, civil disturbance, strikes, significant transport disruption, utility failure or other unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.
Our rights and obligations, and your rights to refunds, alternative arrangements or other remedies in these circumstances, will be determined by applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Our retreats are primarily hosted at a private mountain property in Greece.
The environment includes features such as:

As a result, the property and some activities may not be suitable for every accessibility or mobility requirement.
We want to make our experiences as inclusive as reasonably possible.
If you have accessibility requirements that may affect your stay or participation, please contact us before booking. We will provide honest information about the property and activities and discuss reasonable adjustments that may be possible.
We cannot guarantee that every activity, excursion or part of the property can be made accessible for every requirement, but we are committed to being inclusive and will do as much as possible to cater for all accessibility requirements
12. Activities, Excursions & Third-Party Providers
Some retreat activities, excursions, transport or experiences may be delivered by independent third-party providers.
These may include attractions, accommodation, activity operators, restaurants, wineries, transport providers, guides or other local businesses.
Where a third-party service forms part of the retreat services we have contracted to provide to you, we will fulfil our legal responsibilities in relation to that service.
Where you separately purchase an optional product or service directly from a third party, your contract for that purchase may be with that provider and their terms may apply.
We are not responsible for independently purchased third-party products or services except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Where reasonably necessary, we may remove a guest from an activity or retreat.
Immediate removal may occur where conduct presents a serious safety risk or involves violence, harassment, illegal activity or similarly serious misconduct.
Where a guest is removed because of their own serious misconduct, we may not be required to provide a refund and the guest may be responsible for their own alternative accommodation and transport, subject always to applicable law.
You must agree to The Joy Bringers ethics prior to booking, please visit our ethics page here.
The Joy Bringers team commits to the same standards of respectful behaviour expected from our guests.

Smoking and vaping are permitted only in areas designated by us.
Possession or use of illegal substances is prohibited.
15. Property & Personal Belongings

Where applicable consumer law provides a right of withdrawal for digital content, that right remains unaffected.
Where you expressly request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that beginning delivery will result in the loss of an applicable statutory withdrawal right, access may begin immediately following purchase.
Any additional terms applying to a particular digital product or course will be disclosed before purchase.
18. Physical Products, Merchandise & Clothing
We may sell books, merchandise, clothing and other physical products.
Product descriptions, prices, delivery information and any product-specific conditions will be displayed before purchase.

However, personal-development outcomes are inherently individual.
Examples, testimonials and descriptions of potential benefits do not constitute guarantees that every guest or customer will achieve the same outcome.
Your results will depend on many factors outside our control, including your circumstances, choices, participation and implementation.
Nothing in this section limits our responsibility to provide purchased products and services with the standard required by applicable law.
24. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
This includes any liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable Greek or EU consumer law.

We are not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside our legal responsibility or for losses arising from services independently arranged by you with third parties.
We do not exclude responsibility for the proper performance of services where applicable package-travel or other mandatory consumer law makes The Joy Bringers responsible for those services.
Nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory statutory rights.

Depending on your circumstances, appropriate cover may include:
- cancellation and curtailment
- medical treatment
- emergency evacuation or repatriation
- travel disruption
- delayed or cancelled flights
